A Very Luxe Egagement

July6

Welcome back to Design Wonderland!!! I have a gorgeous treat for you today!

The Bridal Salon in the French jewelry house Mauboussin‘s New York outpost, may be the most glamorous place on earth.

Designed by David Rockwell and his team at the Rockwell Group, the salon, being predominantly white, uses texture and shine to play up its monochromatic color scheme. For this reason the space is full of the best bridal inspired things on earth, satin, lace, tulle feathers and, of course diamonds.

How amazing are these jewelry box inspired display cases? They sit in front of luxe panels made of feathers and satin. The panels give a beautiful contrast to the lovely cocoa-colored wood floors.

Two things I’m completely in love with; the tulle ceiling fixtures and these beautiful padded wingback chairs. And with the salon’s homey feel, recaling the store’s former life as a town house, the salon is a place a person could easily spend hours and feel amazingly glamorous doing it. At least I know I would.

Happy Monday!!!

Let the beauty of what you love be what you do. -Rumi

I’m Jessica and that quote by Rumi are the words by which I live.

With a BA in Art History and a MA in Interior Design, I am armed to create beautiful spaces where ever I go and I am always researching, learning and doing in pursuit of my creative endeavors. Because I needed a place  where my design ideas,  discoveries, creative whims and inspirations could call home, Design Wonderland was born. Here, in my wonderland, I write about an eclectic mix of all wonderful things that inspire me on a daily basis. Though my first loves have always been art, fashion and design, I am also inspired by my insatiable appetite for good food, good friends, new places, beautiful poetry and lots of tea. My hope is that through sharing my thoughts, you will be inspired to create something beautiful too.

Occasionally I am asked to do product or service reviews. I always speak honestly about the products I love. On the occasion that I do not love something, I follow my mother’s advice. If I don’t have something nice to say, then I don’t say it at all.
