{Joyful} Weekend Wishes
Outside of Design Wonderland, It has been a long, eventful and weird week. To be honest, I’m REALLY glad it is the weekend, although it will be busy. Last week, I got asked to style a wedding reception and that happens tomorrow. Yes, the time frame was short but I am pretty excited and all week I have been looking at inspiring images.
Here’s a few I found particularly inspiring:
You know how I feel about birds, so I would love to do a wedding with a nesting concept. I saw the the nests on Martha Stewart Weddings and they are filled with beautiful peonies. And I think this cake, which I saw on Toast and Tables ,is just divine!
Above is a Frida Kahlo themed table setting that I saw on Once Wed. With stunning colors and textures this tabletop feels like it went right from palette to table and skipped the canvas altogether.
And wouldn’t an Afternoon Tea reception be delightful? Combined with with the formality of demitasse cups, the tea tin centerpieces also found on Martha Stewart Weddings, would lend both color and a touch of quirk, reminding people that tea and weddings can be a lot of fun!
I’m so happy to work on a project that celebrates the love of two people and the new life that begins for them. It’s a good way to remember that life brings so much love and joy and those moments need to always be heralded.
This weekend I hope you find some time for joy and celebration!
Happy weekend!
xoxo,
Jessica

I can’t wait to see the pictures from the wedding. I know you’ll do a wonderful job. I would like to get married all over again just to incorporate some wonderful things I’ve seen lately. Maybe I’ll just save the ideas for a vow renewal. Have a wonderful weekend!
That wedding cake is amazing, it’s like a piece of art. I look forward to seeing pictures from the reception, as well.
