Happy New Year everyone! 2010 was a doozy. By the time December rolled in I found myself exhausted and counting down the days until 2011. I”m happy it’s finally here and I’ve made some resolutions that will help me personally stay focused, upbeat  and energetic throughout the year.

During my 2 week blogging break, I brainstormed a few ways to energize the blog as well. I’d like to introduce 2  a new features this year, Ask Jessica and Design Literati.

Do you have a pressing design question? Or maybe you  can’t decide whether to paint your room raspberry or watermelon? Just ask me. I’m happy to help you make informed decorating  choices. Next up is Design Literati. Because I hope to write  a tome on lifestyle design someday, I read a ton of books on art, design, fashion and food.  Design Literati will be the place on this blog for me to share my thoughts on inspiring reads. It’s not a book club, but feel free to share your thoughts if you have read the same book. Varied opinions and thoughtful discussions are  very much appreciated in Design Wonderland. I will also show inspiring spaces to kick back and read like the one above, so watch this space.

Oh and I haven’t forgotten about the Bright Star lighting feature, it will be back next Monday.  Finally, I would like to say thank you for inspiring me to keep this blog an ever- evolving place!
