If you have been reading this blog a while, then by now you know about my slightly unnatural undying love for graffiti (see here and here). Perhaps I’m a latent graffiti artist, because I love seeing text transformed into bold art and I’m pretty open to any form of creative expression even if it happens on the city streets. So you can imagine that my heart got all aflutter when I saw these beautiful porcelain tiles. Graffiti might be better on the floor.

Making their debut this year at Coverings, these porcelain tile beauties are a part of the Banksy Collection by Peronda, a Tile of Spain branded manufacturer. For use on wall and floor, they come 17″ x17″ and use digital printing technology to capture actual images of some of the world’s best graffiti onto the the tile. ( At work, I’ve been reading and talking to reps about digital printing technology on tiles and I’m fascinated by the realistic look .)

Seriously, I can’t get enough; these are art pieces for your space. I get so much inspiration from seeing amazing materials and right and now I’ve got a billion ideas whirling around my head. All I need now is the right client! I can’t wait for that day!
So, my dear readers, I’m off to to work then to start the weekend fun! I hope you have a great weekend! I will be out treasure hunting and exploring the urban landscape this weekend. Hopefully, these tiles will inspire me to look for unconventional beauty everywhere I go.
Happy Weekend!
xoxo,
Jessica

Since I’m feeling all glam and fashionista-like today, I MUST have stairs like this in my life…

{image via apartment therapy}
What a lovely slice of decor heaven! I saw them yesterday on Everything Fabulous and stopped in my virtual tracks (yes, for those that know me I clutched the imaginary pearls once again). Don’t mirrored mosaic stairs make everything better? Plus, I think it would go gorgeously well with my dream home full of Rodarte textiles. This stair is the perfect mash up of glamour and disco. And that is just how I like things.

I’m still feeling the effects of my New York trip and I can’t help but love the beauty of cityscapes; especially when they are brought into the interior landscape.

This porcelain tile, City by Lea Ceramiche, can be used on the floor or wall. It would be an interesting wall feature in the bathroom or kitchen backsplash.
And how can you not love these beautiful rugs from The Nought Collective? They are from the Where Are We Going collection.

Even the table gets a little love from the view above. Check out these NOT Neutral City Plates I saw while browsing Modern Karibou. The one below is DC’s city grid.

And I absolutely adore these Tiled Mural Cityscapes from Dominic Crinson (I fell in love with everything they had at ICFF—so beautiful in person).

I guess I’m always going to be a city girl at heart who constantly craves the urban landscape even at home.

I love wood floors. Something about the combinations of its strength, durability and natural good looks, makes me want to use it everywhere. And until I saw these stunning floors by the Tuscany-based company I Vassalletti, I thought it was hard to improve on a good thing. I’m happy to say I was totally wrong!

The images above, are from the collection Progene. With the use of time-honored craftsmanship and patented designs, the floors made of antique oak and are inlayed with a variety of materials, including leather, steel, marble, and other pieces of wood. The gorgeous end result is a product that is warm, unique and elegant.

For a couple of weeks I’ve been inspired by bodies, though not necessarily human, as you will soon see. With that in mind, I figured it’s high time that I do something about it. I’m working on an inspiration board and in the name of research, I looked at these gorgeous porcelain tiles from Rex Ceramiche Artistiche.

{matouche}
Matouche comes in rich neutral tones in four different skin types, Croco, Cuir (hardened leather look), Eleph and Peau (skin).

{horn}
I’m really obsessed with horn. It’s so stunning that the picture above really doesn’t do the depth and coloration of the physical sample justice at all.
Currently, I’m in a very conceptual phase and I feel very rich with ideas. When I can finally get all of my thoughts, materials and images together I promise to share.
